Houston, Texas, September 24, 2018 – In celebration of National Manufacturing Day 2018, NCI Building Systems, Inc. (NYSE: NCS) will open two of its manufacturing facilities to the public on two separate dates, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Facilities will be open on October 9, 2018 in Frankfort, KY and October 11, 2018 in Houston, TX.
As part of an ongoing effort to promote the strength of U.S. manufacturing and increase awareness of the outstanding career opportunities in the field, NCI will host a series of open house events at its manufacturing locations. Each event will include tours of the facilities, presentations from company leaders and question and answer sessions.
National Manufacturing Day is an annual event that is supported at the local level by thousands of manufacturers across the country. These open houses, plant tours and presentations are designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers opportunities available to students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members.
“There is an increasing demand for highly skilled professionals in the manufacturing sector who can design, program and operate technology,” said Donald R. Between today and 2020, there will become an unprecedented shortage of the skilled workers that will be needed to manufacture the products that our society relies upon.
